XRP Transaction Fee: Just $0.00002 Per Transfer
The standard XRP network fee is 0.00001 XRP (10 drops) — one of the lowest fees of any major blockchain, burned permanently on every transaction.

What Are XRP Network Fees?
UNDERSTANDING XRPL
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) charges a tiny transaction cost known as a “network fee” for every operation processed on the network. Unlike Ethereum gas fees, XRP fees are fixed at a very low base level of 0.00001 XRP (10 drops) and scale only slightly during periods of extreme congestion. These fees are not paid to validators — they are permanently destroyed (burned), acting as a deflationary mechanism that gradually reduces the total XRP supply.

XRP Fee Spike: What Happens During Congestion?
NETWORK LOAD
When XRPL activity surges near 200 transactions per ledger — a threshold rarely reached in the network’s history — fees escalate automatically. Ripple CTO David Schwartz explains this is a built-in protection: even a small overflow beyond the 200 TPS threshold can cause fees to jump sharply until transaction volume returns to manageable levels. Validators collectively lower transaction targets and shift the fee curve to stabilize the network.
